Duties and
Responsibilities: A dental technologist
is a member of the dental team who, upon prescription from a dental clinician,
constructs custom made restorative and dental appliances. There are four major
disciplines within dental technology.
Salary:
$23,000-$56,000
Education:
Dental laboratory technicians may receive their education and training through
a two-year program at a community college, vocational school, technical
college, university or dental school. Graduates of these programs receive
either an associate degree or a certificate. There also are a few programs that
offer a four-year baccalaureate program in dental technology.
Reflection:
I would like to be one it seems like a good and well paid carrier and from the research and pictures i saw it is different than an normal dentist you do more work manually.
